Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and 18 other retailers will become part of COVID-19 vaccination programs, in partnership with the CDC through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. This federal initiative will let the retailers accept and administer allocations of the COVID-19 vaccine in various states. Walmart and Sam’s Club will work in 22 states, Walgreens in 13 states plus Puerto Rico and CVS in 11 states.
The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, which officially launches on Feb. 11, will include participation from more than 40,000 pharmacy locations nationwide.
