Deliveroo has announced a new partnership with French frozen food specialists Picard Groupe SAS to offer its customers express deliveries nationwide.
The deal marks the third of such that the food delivery specialist has made with a major food provider in the country.
Deliveroo has made steps to expand its business in recent months with partnerships with major UK supermarkets including Sainsbury’s.
Grocery sales now make up seven per cent of transactions on the Deliveroo app, the company said on Monday.
The company is also planning to launch its own rapid delivery service, dubbed “Hop”, to rival market leaders Weezy, Getir and Gorillas.
