A whopping 80% of Gen Z consumers plan to use social media for their festive shopping this year, with 41% set to use it for most or all of their Christmas purchases, according to research by SimplicityDX.
The research reveals that 93% of Gen Z use social media as part of their buying process. A further 51% think social media is a great place to learn about new products, while 22% think it’s a great place to buy new products.
In addition, 60% of their shopping activity is covered by two main platforms, Instagram and TikTok.
