Meta has already spent $15 billion on constructing the metaverse, however it is unclear just where the money has been spent.
A number of experts expressed disappointment over updates provided by the tech giant this week.
“The problem is that they spend the money, but the transparency with investors has been a disaster,” Wedbush tech analyst Dan Ives told Business Insider.
“This continues to be a risky bet by Zuckerberg and the team because, for now, they’re betting money on the future while they continue to have massive headwinds on their core business.”
