Amazon’s aggressive grocery push onto the high street has ground to a halt after poor sales amid the cost-of-living crisis.
According to a report from the Sunday Times, Amazon has walked away from talks for dozens of potential sites for Amazon Fresh Stores after disappointing sales.
There are currently 19 Fresh locations in the UK, all of which are located in London except for the latest store in Sevenoaks, Kent.
It follows the closure of 68 bricks-and-mortar store locations in the UK and US earlier this year in order to focus on its grocery operation.
