Several grocery retailers are capitalizing on new growth opportunities in the delivery arena by enhancing their services: Albertsons has added 30-minute delivery and pickup services, and Walmart has extended same-day delivery hours to 10 p.m. Additionally, Giant Eagle has partnered with Instacart, and Save Mart will work with Uber Eats, to offer their shoppers on-demand deliveries.
The Albertsons Flash service is available at 2,000 locations across banners including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Acme and Tom Thumb. Flash delivery orders will be delivered within a 30- to 50-minute window, while pickups will be ready in 30 minutes or less.
