JD Sports to invest in omnichannel as it moves ‘beyond physical retail’

JD Sports is enhancing its omnichannel offering as part of a wider five-year strategy to build upon and further secure its current position as the ‘leading global sports-fashion specialist’.

CEO Régis Schultz is updating investors on the group’s new strategic approach, which will see the retailer investing in technology and analytics as it looks to move ‘beyond physical retail’.

He told investors the group would be “enhancing [its] omnichannel retail offering, investing in technology and analytics, and leveraging long-term strategic brand partnerships, to better serve more customers”.
