Mastercard has acquired Baffin Bay Networks to provide businesses with an AI ‘Cyber Shield’ against cyberattacks.
Swedish-based Baffin Bay Networks enhances Mastercard’s “multi-layered approach to cybersecurity”, which allows the global payments giant to strengthen the services and value it provides beyond the payment transaction.
The company cites the existing cyber threats, such as DDoS attacks, malware and ransomware as the reason for merging its solutions in “a single cyber service available to all its customers across the world”.
