Amazon is working with Visa to develop a “non-contact biometric identification system” enabling customers to pay by waving their hands through a scanner, confirming rumours which emerged earlier this month.
Payments giant Visa is understood to be helping Amazon test out “hand scanner” terminals which will digitally map a shopper’s hand, link it to their credit card and allow them to pay using nothing but their hand, The Wall Street Journal reported.
