In the face of fierce shipping competition this holiday season, Macy’s is testing fee same-day delivery with the help of the company’s existing partnership with delivery service Deliv.
The department store is testing the service in 30 markets for orders of $75 or more starting on October 1. Though Macy’s first began offering same-day shipping in 2017, this is the first time the retailer will ship orders for free, allowing shoppers to skip the $8 fee and $99 minimum purchase requirement.
