Amazon Prime Day 2020, by many accounts, appears to have been a smashing success. Amazon broke third-party sales records, and e-commerce overall did quite well across the board. On the surface, it looks like all boats rose with the tide, so to speak.
However, looks can be deceiving.
The real Prime Day story is still left to be written. The real story is not so much about this year as it is about what two days in October signal for the future.
