JD.com to hire 20,000 people to “minimize the impact of the epidemic on employment”

JD.com has promised to hire more than 20,000 people who are out of work due to the coronavirus while it begins making drone deliveries to cut off locations.

The Chinese ecommerce giant is making major moves to help “minimize the impact of the epidemic” on the world’s second largest economy.

Businesses across China, including many delivery firms on which many communities rely on for goods, have been severely disrupted by the outbreak as and many have shut down to prevent the spread of the virus.
