Kroger partners with Instacart to launch rapid grocery delivery service in the US

Kroger has announced it is partnering with one of the US’ biggest grocery delivery brands, Instacart, to offer 30 minute delivery for its customers.

The Kroger Delivery Now service, will give access to 25,000 products and is being made available at 2,700 stores in the US.

“Kroger Delivery Now is a differentiated solution in the e-commerce industry, not just the grocery sector,” Kroger chief executive Rodney McMullen said.

“Operationally, this service reaches up to 50 million households and it’s an expansion of our thriving ecommerce model that demonstrates strategic interplay among our assets, expansive store network, supply chain, and dedicated fulfilment centers and fleet, joined by Instacart’s unrivaled fulfilment model and last-mile technology to provide our customers with anything, anytime, anywhere without compromise.”
