Deliveroo has announced it is launching its own rapid grocery delivery service, “Hop”, to take on its rivals Gorillas, Getir and Weezy.
The service will rely on a dark store model in partnership with retailer Morrisons and will aim to deliver goods to customers in 10 minutes or under.
Hop will only be available to customers in Vauxhall and Battersea in south London for now before being rolled out to the rest of the capital.
“Deliveroo Hop will enhance our on-demand grocery offering for both consumers and our grocery partners,” Deliveroo chief executive Will Shu said.
