UK online retail sales fell by 3.3% in September year-on-year, the fourth consecutive month as rising levels on inflation hit consumers in their wallets, according to the IMRG Capgemini Online Retail Index.
The numbers represented a minor improvement on August’s numbers, where there was a 4.1% fall year-on-year.
However, September underperformed compared with September 2021, which saw a 6.8% climb year-on-year.
