110 retailers shut their doors in the US amid contagion fears

More than 110 retailers have now closed all their stores to limit the spread of the coronavirus as fears grow that all non-essential stores will shut their doors for weeks.

Department stores, fashion outlets, homeware stores and technology retailers are all pulling the shutters on their physical storefronts across the US as businesses try to limit public social interaction, according to a Forbes report.

Over 110 businesses have now shut, with Apple being the latest major retailer to announce the closure of its stores indefinitely.
