Targets taps Walmart, General Mills for grocery executives

Target has hired two new senior executives, one from Walmart and one from General Mills, to overhaul its $15 billion a year food business. The new hires include General Mills veteran Liz Nordlie and Walmart’s former head of house brands in deli and bakery, Mark Kenny. (Fortune)

BJ’s upgrades membership site

BJ’s has announced a new desktop site that makes membership management easier and introduces some new convenience perks. For example, members will be able to access BJ’s services such as online deli and bakery ordering for buy online and pickup in-store and access to Pick Up & Pay, the reservation of nonperishable products for in-store pickup.
