Online retail sales hit new records once again in February, growing 167.3 per cent as “positive signs” emerge for the sector.
The online sales surge was driven by growing demand for fashion and homeware products as rapid vaccine rollout began to encourage consumer confidence, according to the latest BDO high street sales tracker.
Despite yet another significant boost for online sales, it was not enough to offset losses made on the high street where non-essential retailer will remain shut for a number of weeks.
