Marks & Spencer launches ‘Sparks Pay’ digital credit account for customers

Shoppers using Marks and Spencer’s Sparks loyalty programme will be able to apply for a new digital credit account, enabling them to borrow up to £500 for purchases.

The retailer has launched ‘Sparks Pay’ in partnership with M&S bank and is rolling the scheme out in a phased launch across its website and app.

To use the scheme, customers must be at least 18 and will need to pass credit checks. In addition, interest may also be charged at a representative annual rate of 23.9%.
