JD Sports has partnered up with trainer reselling platform Sole Responsibility, which buys subprime branded trainers and clothing destined for disposal, Drapers reported.
Sole Responsibility will stock the sports retailer’s end of the line and slightly damaged stock on ecommerce site Ebay, including popular brands such as Adidas, Timberland, Nike and Converse.
The company describes itself as a “circular economy business” and offers a sustainable solution for its end of line and returned trainers.
“More and more retailers are realising the benefits of working with a sustainability partner like us in this way,” Sole Responsibility founder Simon Payne said.
