As the UK heads into peak online shopping season, with both Black Friday and Christmas on the horizon, retailers are facing a double whammy of cost inflation and subdued consumer demand.

This week, Google shared new market research findings to help UK retailers understand the public’s online shopping habits and plans for Christmas. The report found that searches for ‘inflation’ have increased by 112% year-on-year, with the current economic uncertainties top of mind for the majority of consumers.
