E-commerce accounts for 30% of American Eagle’s lingerie sales in Q1

E-commerce accounted for roughly 30% of American Eagle Outfitters’ Aerie business, which sells lingerie and intimate apparel, in the fiscal first quarter 2016, the multichannel retailer reported yesterday.

The retailer, No. 63 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, says e-commerce accounted for about 20% of its overall revenue. Given that the retailer sold $749.4 million during the quarter ended April 30, that would be roughly $150 million.
