On the other hand, the dizzying value of the e-commerce giant’s shares presents a very real advantage in the retail world where it competes.
Amazon’s profitability as a business is a relatively recent phenomenon considering its lifespan. Last year, the company posted a little over $3 billion in profit, up 400% from 2015.
